From Paramedic to Pioneering Neurosurgery: A Graduate's Story of Transformation

Felix Corr's path to neurosurgery began uniquely - starting as a paramedic in Germany before discovering his passion in the operating theatre. Now, through Learna | Diploma MSc's Neurosurgery MSc programme, he's advancing toward his goal of becoming a neurosurgeon.

With hands-on experience from emergency medical services and surgical assistance, Felix chose Learna for its comprehensive curriculum that went beyond traditional medical school teaching. "During medical school, I felt that the theoretical knowledge of neurosurgery did not go into the depth I was interested in," he explains.

The programme's flexible structure allowed Felix to maintain his clinical routine while engaging with peers globally. He particularly valued studying current literature and guidelines, which directly enhanced his clinical work. The course provided everything from fundamental concepts to advanced management of neurosurgical conditions through evidence-based practice.

For those considering following his path, Felix emphasises the importance of self-discipline: "To succeed in this course, a strong sense of self-discipline is essential to independently acquire and learn the material."
