Meet Marc Woods, MSc Gastroenterology Graduate Making Waves with International Research Publication
Marc Woods, a recent graduate of our MSc in Gastroenterology programme, has achieved remarkable success with his research paper on colon capsule endoscopy being published in the World Journal of Meta-Analysis. His study compared polyp detection rates between traditional colonoscopy and colon capsule endoscopy, contributing valuable insights to the field.
As a Clinical Endoscopist with seven years of experience, Marc chose Learna | Diploma MSc for its flexibility, allowing him to balance his full-time work and family life while pursuing advanced education. The programme's structure enabled him to collaborate with healthcare professionals worldwide, gaining diverse perspectives and expertise.
Working closely with his tutor, Professor Jonathan Soldera, Marc received constant support and guidance throughout his research journey. This mentorship proved invaluable in helping him achieve his academic goals while maintaining his professional responsibilities.
Since completing his MSc, Marc has secured a position as a Consultant Clinical Endoscopist, where he'll lead the colon capsule programme at his new trust.
