Podiatrist Makes Waves in Dermatology Research Before Graduation
Sarah Bradshaw, a North Manchester podiatrist specialising in skin and nail conditions, has achieved remarkable recognition while pursuing her MSc in Clinical Practice Dermatology at Learna. Her research poster on podiatric-dermatologic collaboration in nail psoriasis won top honours at Europe's largest podiatry conference.
Driven by a desire to reduce secondary care referrals and expand community healthcare access, Sarah enrolled in the dermatology programme in 2020. Her dissertation on Photodynamic Therapy for Mycotic Nails is now registered on PROSPERO, developed under the guidance of Brazilian dermatologist Dr. Gabriel Peres.
Despite managing her private practice, The Foot Pod, and family commitments, Sarah embraces daily online learning: "If you are passionate about your subject, you will want to do more and more." Her success has led to an invitation to present at the University of Salford, sharing insights with future podiatrists.
The programme's interprofessional approach brings together doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals worldwide, fostering knowledge exchange through Learna's digital platform and the University of South Wales' extensive online resources.
